Install Gauge Buddy

Gauge Buddy is distributed through the Mac App Store.

Requirements

Mac	Any Mac that runs macOS 15 or later
macOS	15 or later
Internet	Only to download the app. Gauge Buddy works entirely offline.

Install

1. Open the App Store on your Mac.
2. Search for Gauge Buddy, or follow the link on gaugebuddy.app.
3. Click Get or the price button, and confirm with your Apple Account.
4. Open Gauge Buddy from Launchpad, Spotlight or your Applications folder.

There is nothing else to set up. The app does not ask you to sign in, and the track libraries for every supported scale are included.

Updates

Updates arrive through the App Store like any other app. To check, open the App Store and choose Updates in the sidebar. What changed in each version is listed in the Release Notes.

Layouts saved by an older version open in a newer one. See Saving & Sharing Layouts.

Removing Gauge Buddy

Drag Gauge Buddy from Applications to the Bin, or hold its icon in Launchpad and click the cross.

Your layouts are ordinary files and are not removed with the app. Track libraries you imported and assemblies you saved are kept in the app's own folder on your Mac.
